I headed to the Japanese Gardens to take some photos in the late afternoon located in Bloomington at Normandale College.
I got a late start, I meant to get up before sunrise and be on one of the many lakeshores in the Minnesota River Valley. Lighting was kind of harsh, many of the photos were taken mid-day. I hit the Minnesota Valley NWR(MVNWR) trail on old cedar first, then took some shots at a small Bloomington Park, then hit several locations on Blackdog road on both MVNWR and DNR Fort Snelling State Park areas.
I then took a shot of the Minneapolis skyline from a transit station in Burnsville parking structure, not a very good shot with the powerlines in the way and haze but, showed a wide range of patches of color still in the Metro area.
I then continued West on 13 to the MNNWR Wilkie Unit, then South on 169 for more trails at Louisville Swamp MNNWR.
Then I headed back South on 169 towards Mankato taking photos in the River Valley along the way.
