I was taking Jack to cub scouts when I noticed the sky had cleared a bit, so I stopped at Central Park in Bloomington and literally took these shots in under 10 minutes from the time I hit the parking lot. It was 6:50 the meeting was at 7pm, Jack was about 7 minutes late… I only had my little SD1000 with me, these are HDR’s.
First shot facing South. The sun was just under the horizon some of the exposures were 2 seconds. The lighting was very ‘blahlike’. Best viewed large.
Had I arrived about 10 minutes earlier these clouds would have been a pretty cool looking pinkish color.
The first of 6 senate debates was held in Rochester this evening. Questions ranged from the obvious Iraq, bailout, and economy, to attack ads, and education.
Dean Barkley(I), Sen. Norm Coleman(R), Al Franken(D)
I have been helping out gathering media (video, stills, etc) at various political events around town (debates, fundraisers, etc), today’s event was the DFL Founders Day at Northrop Auditorium at the U of M. So I am a bit behind on fall foliage but, I have been going out before and after work & events and have tons of photos to process.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Al Franken, and former Vice President Al Gore.
former Vice President Walter Mondale (middle frame in focus), Klobuchar family to the right.
I have driven by Minnehaha Park but, have never actually parked their and walked around or seen the falls (I don’t believe). I did walk to the start of Minnehaha Park from Fort Snelling but, I don’t believe I actually checked out the falls. Not much color yet but, I will be hopefully getting out alot more over the next couple of weeks.
